Lake Hosts spend time at Mast Landing educating people about invasive species that could be brought into our lake. They also look for invasive plants on trailers going into and out of the lake and talk about how to avoid transporting zebra muscles. You might like to help….This program is organized by the New Hampshire Lakes Association and supported by the Lake Wentworth Association. There is a grant that helps to pay for some people to spend time at the Landing during peak times but boats volunteers are needed at other times. The more people who are watching boats come into our lake, the more chance that there is to “catch” invasives before the enter our lake. If you are interested in helping out for a few hours a week on your own schedule, you should contact Susan Goodwin (who coordinates the program) at email@example.com.
