Does the Lake Wentworth watershed have special meaning to you and your family?
Would you like to help protect this jewel among New Hampshire’s natural splendors?
There’s no better way than by joining the Wentworth Watershed Association (WWA). This is the new organization that is the result of the merger of the Lake Wentworth Foundation and the Lake Wentworth Foundation.
Our roots go back more than 80 years ago by a distinguished group of local residents and lakeside visitors, including U.S. Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas, the WWA now continues to lead and represent the lakeshore community in protecting the lakes and streams that make up the watershed.
With both financial and volunteer resources, the association has collected water quality data, monitored zoning and commercial activities, and helped educate visitors and property owners alike about the need for a conservation ethic.
The Wentworth Watershed Association provides an avenue for those interested in making tax-deductible contributions to benefit and preserve the Lake Wentworth/Crescent Lake watershed and being a member allows you to participate in events and know about the “goings on”.
If you’re interested in joining, information about membership will be available in April 2017 if not before.
