Joining the Lake Wentworth AssociationDoes the Lake Wentworth watershed have special meaning to you and your family?Would you like to help protect this jewel among New Hampshire's natural splendors? There's no better way than by joining the Lake Wentworth Association. Formed nearly 75 years ago by a distinguished group of local residents and lakeside visitors, including U.S. Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas, the LWA continues to lead and represent the lakeshore community in protecting the lakes and streams that make up the watershed. With both financial and volunteer resources, the association has collected water quality data, monitored zoning and commercial activities, and helped educate visitors and property owners alike about the need for a conservation ethic. A sister organization, the Lake Wentworth Foundation, provides an avenue for those interested in making tax-deductible contributions to benefit and preserve Lake Wentworth and its environs. If you're interested in joining, just download the membership form from this page and print it. After you've filled out the form, just send it, along with the membership fee, to the address on the form. Members who join before the association's directory is published in late May will be included in that annual publication.
