Would someone please post picture(s) of the  type of milfoil we are trying to eradicate.  Descriptions of the plant’s characteristics and growing conditions (water depth?) would also help to id. 

If a lake resident finds a suspicious patch of plant material, who should be contacted?

It looks like a cat tail when the cat is scared. It is green. The parts in the foreground are what you would see if it were on the surface but the stuff in the background is what you would see if it were growing on the bottom.

I’d suggest calling Ed Dinsmore on Heath Shore if you are uncertain about identifying a plant as milfoil. Ed has overseen Weed Watcher activities on the lakes for some years.
